First of all, when you encrypic something on my computer the title of the file/folder turns green, is there a way to just make it stay black? and is there a way to encrypt an entire drive and add people on a network to be able to view this, i know this is sorta a repeat question of what i had before, but never figured out how to get that to work eather, I am running Win Xp pro, not sure if this has anything to do with it, but i still like on the log in screan the box's i wanna keep those

Well thank you, let me change my question cuase what i wanted to do was overboard. This is almost the same question as previous, how can i get it so only certain people on the network are able to view my sharrd stuff, i already turned off simple sharing, of what ever it is called, i just cant see any of the comps on the network, does the other computer on the network have to share simple share off too?

Simple File sharing does not need to be disabled on the other PC, just your's if that is the only one from which you wish to restrict sharing. There is an option to set permissions when creating a share. Look for it, it's not hard to find. You do not need to encrypt, though, to restrict access over a network. Setting permissions will do, and is far safer. If you lose your security certificate, you lose your encrypted files.

I got to the permission screen i cant change the location of the share, its only shows my computer under the location, no other computers i can pick from.

You are looking in the wrong place. Go to a folder or drive you are wanting to share - with restrictions - and right click on it. In the menu that pops up, choose Sharing and security. If you do not see Sharing and security, chose properties, then click on the sharing tab in the properties panel the comes up. If a share you created already exists, select it from the drop down list and click the permissions button. If you have not created a share, click new share. You will be able to define permissions, while creating a new share.

As far as giving acces goes, simply create user accounts on your PC that have the same username and password as the machines that will connect to yours. When the remote PC's try to connect, they will automatically try to authenticate. Windows XP will look in its local files on a peer to peer network to grant access.
Example
PC 1 - Yours
NAME1 - PASSWORD1
NAME2 - PASSWORD2
NAME3 - PASSWORD3
PC 2 - Netwrok
NAME2 - PASSWORD2
PC 3 - Network
NAME3 - PASSWORD3
You can specify rights based on usernames. You local resources are the only thing that will show up without a domain controller or being in active directory.
