i jsut replaced the cpu fan on this mother board.
But It is running like a small jet engine. I know on some mobo's and such you can actually change the RPM of your fans. I checked my bios it tells me what rpm it runs at 5700 or something but does not let me change it.

Is there any drivers? or software.. maybe a bios upgrade?

Please let me know. It's in my bedroom and I hate shuttig it down at night. But have to over the noise :(

Welcome to SysOpt! :t

You can try SpeedFan (http://www.almico.com/speedfan.php).

SpeedFan is an hardware monitoring software, but its main feature is that it can control the speed of the fans (depending on your sensor chip)

Good luck! :D

There's no better solution than a quiter fan, really. Still:

Set your target temerature to a higher level than normal and see if Speedfan throttles it or not. You can also add one of these:
