Windows Movie Player 2 - Problem w/ it shutting down

Has anyone had a problem with WMP2 shutting down on them when they try to change a transition, or effect, or add a title? There is no way to uninstall WMP2 and then reinstall. And if you try to delete the folder for WMP2 it tells you that some of the files are being used by other apps and that you should close those apps and retry. Well, there was nothing else open and I still can't uninstall WMP2.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your assistance!:t
