Hi, I have a normal desk top PC which I would like to be able to use in two rooms without moving the whole thing each time, but I'm not even sure if it's possible. The rooms are only about six metres apart.
Is this possible?

thanks

Nope, it sounds like you need a laptop instead.

Extending the video/keyboard/mouse/printer cords is NOT recommended and will cause may errors and system failures.

Sterling_Aug is quite correct. Your only other option is to put the beast on a little trolly / cart with a power strip on it so you only have to plug one power corded it. It's the Po' Boy Portable.

I use a Belkin desktop KVM - Maximum distance is 3 metres!

You would need an extender module from Blackbox or Belkin amongst other suppliers!

Can be done but you will need an extra screen!

You would probably be cheaper and easier in the long run buying a second hand pc - setup a small crossover cable network and use a remote access package like PCAnywhere v10.xx
