I loved it, I remember playing Caesar II, I would pause the game and build an ENTIRE city, corner to corner, when I unpaused I was deperatley (and hopelessly in debt).

Caesar III is a great game and I still play it form time to time.

As far as the army thing goes, I'd always build up my army to the max, then (wherever Rome came from) I'd put a sort of all maze up (with walls) and have my archers take em all out before they attacked anything. This gave me as much time as I wanted to do as I pleased.

I remeber the military missions. I sucked completely at most of everything, but it was still a total killer game.

its a pretty cool game :p , the fighting sux tho and the buildings blow up and catch on fire alot even with police, water, and stuff near them which can drive you nuts sometimes but if your looking for a "just building" game its pretty cool, i really like the tradeing part.

it comes bundled with Homeworld, Ceaser III, and Pharoah (the new one) for $20 in Bj's club in the usa (in south florida anyway)

I enjoyed the game, but I like Pharoah much better. I still play Pharoah.

Ya I hated the buildings catching on fire but the invaders were never a problem for me. I still have Ceaser II but I never understood the game as much as i understood Ceaser III. Maybe it was just much easier for me.:t
