I have one question still in my mind. WHY?
Why the the hell has no company made a CD mp3 player? Why all these **** 32 meg ****ty *** mp3 players? I mean to have 150+ of your fav songs on one cd would mean the max cds you would have is 1 or 2! and the latest cd players have 40 sec anti skip (my panasnoic) and acually it really never ever skips. I walk with it in my pocket and guess what? NO SKIP! FUQ this 32 meg bs I WANT MORE space! U think I wanna listen to 6-12 songs all day on a ****ty 32-64 megs of music? Guess again! I want my 650 megs!! Danm u companys don't u see that this is a big optunity becuase no one has done it yet!?

You can get a stand-alone (no PC required) MP3 player for your home audio system right now. There will be portable in dash cara players soon. Also audio CD players, both portable and for home use, that can handle mp3s.

Your somewhat uninformed and impatient question is not totally unreasonable, but your language is unacceptable in this place. - 8-Ball

Bleeding Edge has presented some things you should have known.

And clean up your language or the Old One might clean up (low level format) your hard drive. He can do that, you know. - Elf

We all need to vent at times.
But not here, okay?
At least not like that.

Sorry ELF. I should have mentioned this myself. Please, relate my apologies to The Old One...

I think the topic of language has been covered well by previous posts. Heed their advice because this is your only warning regarding this.

As far as your actual question, I agree completely. The problem is that most of the big recording companies are owned entirely or in part by the home/portable audio companies, most notably Sony. They aren't about to jeapordize such a cash cow for those that want to pull their mp3s everywhere.

There'll likely be more small-time outfits putting up portable CD-mp3 players, but they won't be in a Best Buy or Walmart. Those type of places won't carry such an item for fear of annoying the bigtime audio companies.

At least that's my 3 cents (what with inflation and all)
