I bought this motherboard becuase it says it supports 400fsb proc. but if I set it at 400fsb the pci slots run at about 40-42mhz which is out of specs for the PCI. so it really does not support 400mhz fsb if it does not keep PCI in spec. any suggestions.

If your overclocking the regular KT600 (non-plus) then you do not have a /6 divisor to keep AGP/PCI in spec. It will run 400 FSB with a regular 400 FSB processor. Also that board has NO voltages at all to tweak for overclocking. In essence you can't overclock. Only the KT600 Platinum has those options.

Bump up your divider from 5 to 6 and that will put your agp and pci bus back to 66 and 33MHz respectively. It should be on the same page in your CMOS as your settings for your fsb.

If user runs a native 400 FSB processor you don't need to activate any divider. While the Soyo KT600 plus is a fantastic motherboard - unfortunately it has nothing to offer for overclocking performance. I have several friends at amdmb that run one and love it - but they can't clock with it. But you can drop a 400 FSB processor in it and it runs like a gem. No divider needed. You only need a /5 or /6 if you overclock. And that board will not clock.

sorry I have no info, just trying to get some knowledge by reading the threads, and that rule #2 just hit me, I trusted my sandra 2004

jym111 also keep in mind if you do use 400 FSb processor you need to move the jumper - as the mobo has one for 100/133-166-200
