Has anyone had any use/success stories with Symantec's 2004 Spam gaurd.

I know, there are others out there...but, I would like to use the all in one suite for three young user's laptops....

They are brand new HP laptops, with 2003 Trial installed from the factory, so...of course there is a 90 day period.

The parents of these girls would like parental control, and I know Internet Security has done a good job in the past.

I'd like an all in one suite, I like and trust Symantec...

So, I'm thinking Spam protection, anti virus protection, and Internet Security 2004...

I know there's no way to eliminate spam, just looking to cut it down...

Any horror stories/good experiences with 2004??

Problem is...I use Outlook 2003 Beta at home, and the junk mail folder works great...no way am I gonna sell him of Office 2003, or Outlook standalone 2003...

So...I'm gonna have to test a bit, but...as mentioned, I don't have a great test bed for him..

So...We shall see!

Thanks again, I'll give the matador a shot!

Bill...
I installed Matador, and have a few questions.
I set up the 5 categories, sexual content, gambling, etc. all the way to most restrictive.
I see where you have the ability to add people and/or domains to junk...but, does this software have built in "no lists" or...do they have to be built. Gonna give it a try on a user here, that get's a TON of spam, etc.

Just trying to get a little know how for her...

Thanks!

The Baysiean logic is quite good. I believe that Matador also downloads data files from home regularly with updated spammer lists. You can use the new toolbar button to build your own list.

All I know is that, after a few weeks, this thing is close to 100% effective.

That's what I needed to know...
We use a Websense content filtering here, not sure if that is going to hose the auto updates or not...time will tell.

Thanks again...you might make me look like a star!
