Hey Guys.

I have a Visiontek GeForce 256 w/32MB RAM. It has a digital output (for an LCD) and a standard analog output. There is no s-video (the round plug) or anything like that. Just the aforementioned 2-plugs. I was wondering if there was a converter or cable that you could buy to hook this type of video card up to a Television.

Thanks!

Yes, there is. You can buy a TV Encoder box...

It looks like this (http://www.computeraffair.com.au/averkey5.html) and here's (http://www.akura.it/itweb/enctv.htm) a mobile one...

By standard analog out, do you mean an RCA jack? If so you can connect it to an video in jack on the back of your tv or a/v reciever.
But you will also need to use the software that came with your vid card to send the signal to the jack.
If it's not an RCA jack then ndc has the solution.

Sorry for not being specific.

There are two monitor ports.

1 is a Digital Monitor Port (LCD)

1 is a Analog Monitor Port (CRT)

How much do those "boxes" cost? Would it be cheaper to buy a special card that does just that (a DVD Decoder?)

DVD Decoder and TV Encloder are two different things. A decent TV encoder box will cost you about $100 USD.

My Fault. i thought a DVD Encoder also had the necessary TV outputs on it...
