Hi everybody,
does anybody knows how to avoid the MS SMS from creating an account and take control of my system? My machine is running win2000 SP2.
Thanks,
Jose

Could you be more specific...Been running Win2K here since it was released and have never had SMS do anything, not even installed. SMS is used at work on our NT machines for remote admin control, but not on my home machine.

Format and reinstall http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif lol That will get rid of SMS until you log back into the network and the SysAdmin's have your login script set to check to see if SMS installed and if not to have it install it...YOU DONT OWN IT! The Company does! Follow their rules or go to work for yourself http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif Just my view on it.

Good one Mntsnow http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif
That was going to be my answer.
What you SHOULD do is contact them and complain about your concerns.
Well, be nice about it, and ask them to fix whatever the problem is.
Good luck

Hey guys! you are taking it to personaly! :-)don't look at my question as an ofense to sys admins, just take it as technical challenge which is exactly what am doing. I could've ask someone to turn the **** logon scripts off and wipe out the sms instalation from my PC but this approach is not very challenging...anyway for me the MS SMS is just the comercial version of the Back Orifice (and worst).
