I'm thinking about buidling a new box with the Asus K8V. However, I use Photoshop and Vegas which both love RAM and wanted to put 3 512 DDR400 DIMMs in it. However, it sounds like the K8V can only has two DIMM slots that are DDR400. Is it likely I can get three to work if I do not OC the CPU? Maybe I'd be better off with a board and 32 bit procesor that can handle three DDR400 DIMMS????

Well, you can always put in one 1GB and one 512MB stick.

Honestly, two 512s should be sufficient.

Yeah, 2 x 512 is 'sufficient' but because of the way that Photoshop and Vegas use RAM, you get faster loads and better real-time previewing with more RAM. I'm tempted to go to slower RAM and put 3GB in. :)

So, I take it that 1GB sticks are a bit dear?
