I have an IBM Thinkpad running Win2K Sp4 that has a Lucent Winmodem. The question I would like to ask is regarding the Status of the Current Dial up connection (right click on the connection and look at status). There seems to be a quite a number of Receive errors after browsing for a while. I have downloaded the latest Generic driver from Agere (Version 8.3) and it all works fine except for these errors. I have tried different drivers from IBM and none really seems better. Something that I have done is enter the string -v90=16 as when I do this I get better download speeds.
Are these errors something to be concerned about
Thanks in Advance

Sorry for the delay in replying the errors appear in the dial up status just as errors with no explanation.
Im not sure how to ascertain what the errors are?

There are no errors in that log - you need to run the modem for a while then post any errors you find in the log - ie use search and select error and all the errors will be highlighted.
It will most likely come down to one specific error - ie ip framing , crc errors from which you can deduce whether its the line , telco , modem , or pc!!!
