Microsoft XP Activation

I'm sure many of you have faced the hassle of reactivating OfficeXP via phone everytime you need to upgrade hardware or reload/change your operating system. I found one way out: after loading the operating system and Office XP and activating it, just copy the partition to a CD/spare HDD using PartitionjMagic7 or Drive Copy or any utility. That way, when you need to get back your system and office its real easy. Does anyone have any better idea without using the cracks so popular nowadays?

yeah .... on the final version of XP activation is not a requirement.
