It's printed on the motherboard down by the last PCI slot. I would have suggested Aida32, but... :p ATI RADEON 8500 01-15-2004, 04:40 AM :r ATI RADEON 8500 01-15-2004, 09:56 PM Now that I have AIDA up and running properly... I tried to find whatever it's a ECS k7s5a 1.x or 3.x I could't... Where do I look at? All I see on my mobo is k7s5a on the center of the board. and an Sticker saying k7s5a 117 on the big old fashion looking chip on the bottom right corner. You will need a flashlight and you must remove the last couple of cards. ATI RADEON 8500 01-16-2004, 01:56 AM I don't have any card on the last slots. I tried to look with my flashlight but. Cant find it. Must be really small then. I'll get a telescope. :D :p But anyway I'll give it a closer look in the moring. Thanks:t gjimene2 01-16-2004, 01:58 AM ROFLMAO. Ok, how about a mirror? A mirror and a flashlight, good combination :D ATI RADEON 8500 01-16-2004, 01:43 PM Well I had to ask NASA to use their Space HUBBA. They approved then I used it and found the motherboard model It's a crappier verison of k7s5a :( It's... k7s5a 3.1:rolleyes: saimyc 01-18-2004, 02:44 PM I have great luck K7S5A v1.0 AMD 1800+ 19 months no problems I don't mean to drop my loose change in your thread , but does anyone know the max CPU supprted by v 1.0?? I check the site they're vauge, and googled it nada I've heard 2000+ and 2400+ Oh BTW aida is great and so is the free version of S.A.N.D.R.A. 2004 Peter M 01-18-2004, 02:47 PM Knowing that yours runs Athlon XP alright (a few verrrrrry early K7S5A do not), it'll take you up to the 2400+ "Thoroughbred B". Whether or not the 2400+ "Thorton" runs too has not yet been reported, but that makes no difference in performance. So get the TbredB as long as they're available. Mind the power supply strength! saimyc 01-18-2004, 03:04 PM I got a 500w PSU with dual fans http://www.ecsusa.com/products/k7s5a.html comp_nut 01-19-2004, 12:09 AM did you use aida to find your info ? computer, dmi, than system or motherboard or chassis ATI RADEON 8500 01-19-2004, 12:40 AM Thats odd... AIDA appeared that the mobo is a k7s5a 1.0. Maybe I need a stronger telescope lol... I just asked my friend to verify the mobo name on the motherboard. He said the same thing 3.1... BipolarBill 01-19-2004, 12:53 AM Trust your eyes more than Aida32. gjimene2 01-19-2004, 01:39 AM Originally posted by BipolarBill Trust your eyes more than Aida32. I nearly fell out of my chair laughing when I read that, lol. Peter M 01-19-2004, 05:28 AM Originally posted by ATI RADEON 8500 Thats odd... AIDA appeared that the mobo is a k7s5a 1.0.
