How can I identify my mobo? ECS k7s5a 1.x or 3.x?

Now that I have AIDA up and running properly... I tried to find whatever it's a ECS k7s5a 1.x or 3.x I could't... Where do I look at? All I see on my mobo is k7s5a on the center of the board. and an Sticker saying k7s5a 117 on the big old fashion looking chip on the bottom right corner.

You will need a flashlight and you must remove the last couple of cards.

I don't have any card on the last slots. I tried to look with my flashlight but. Cant find it. Must be really small then. I'll get a telescope. :D :p But anyway I'll give it a closer look in the moring.

Well I had to ask NASA to use their Space HUBBA. They approved then I used it and found the motherboard model It's a crappier verison of k7s5a :( It's... k7s5a 3.1:rolleyes:

I have great luck K7S5A v1.0 AMD 1800+ 19 months no problems

I don't mean to drop my loose change in your thread , but does anyone know the max CPU supprted by v 1.0??

I check the site they're vauge, and googled it nada

Oh BTW aida is great and so is the free version of S.A.N.D.R.A. 2004

Knowing that yours runs Athlon XP alright (a few verrrrrry early K7S5A do not), it'll take you up to the 2400+ "Thoroughbred B". Whether or not the 2400+ "Thorton" runs too has not yet been reported, but that makes no difference in performance. So get the TbredB as long as they're available.

Mind the power supply strength!

That's because AIDA can do nothing but read the system's BIOS information - and the BIOS for v1.x and v3.x boards is the same.
