I am looking to upgrade a p3 sytem with a new mobo, cpu, and ram.
I need a motherboard that has integrated video, and sound, but has an agp slot for possible use. Can I make the Enlight case with 250w ps work, maybe with an extra case fan, or do I need a p4 approved case?
Need mobo recommendations, looking to stay on the intel side.
After the upgrade, will I need to reformat and intall a fresh os? How does one change out the above components with the same hdd?

If you're running Intel now, you can probably get away with keeping your old setup.
A brand name doesn't tell us much. How many PCI slots do you have now? if it's more than 3, you have a full ATX case. Three or less and it's micro-ATX.
If the power supply you have is strong, you may be able to keep it. You can always replace it later. If the motherboard requires P4 connectors, you will have to change it right away. In that case, you should consider a whole new enclosure.
Let us know if you have full ATX or the smaller variety.

It is a p3 667 on an asus pvx133??? It sits in a mid-tower enlight 7230 case with a 250 w. ps.Can I get by with this case and a p4 system, or is the power connector different? Will it run cool enough?
I am looking for something that could give me an upgrade path later, ie. a ghz or so faster processor. So if I go with a p4 2.4 800 fsb, theoretically I could slap a new processor in about a year or so from now and have a decent performance gain.
I need a stable board that will not be overclocked, can have intergrated stuff (want audio for sure integrated), but if it does, then I will want the option of an agp slot just in case.

How many times must I ask how many PCI slots you have?

I guess two. Down boy....
5 or 6 pci slots, definately not a micro atx form factor.

I know full well what you meant. Since you're the one asking for help, I don't think that wise cracks are a wise idea.
How many times would you like to have to ask a question before it's answered?

Seems to me that if your wanted only the answer to that question, there would have been a single question. I admit, I missed that part of your post, however, rude remarks are replied to accordinly.

Your not doing yourself any favors by pissing on the moderator and poster who has probably helped the most people here. Often times going more than a bit out of his way. Doesn't exactly encourage anyone else to chime in to help. And if your looking for help, shouldn't you read the post? Some people. . .
You'll need a new motherboard and ram... more than likely a powersupply as well. Also you will have to reinstall windows.

Don't get me wrong. I am as thankful for the help as the next guy. I don't however appreciate remarks like that in the first reply. There's no ill intention here and I am not trying to **** off someone who has gone out of their way to help. Just making the point that people talk to people how they are talked to.
Thanks for the answer to my original question.
