Ram drives

Have anyone tried one of these programs? Or the hardware?

I will be going to a LAN party and I think when it comes to maps loading I might lag behind (I have a 1ghz cpu)

BUT if I use a ram drive I am sure even with my slower cpu I can load the maps faster.

So what ramdrive programs are good?
Also have you used one and what do you think about it?
