A computer set up for gaming is actually ideally requires a fairly high end computer. The good news is that high end computers are fairly inexpensive as compared to a couple of years ago.

So you are looking to buy and not build right? If you are looking to buy, I would check out the websites of places like BestBuy and Circuit City, and any other place that you can get a system from. Im sure others on here have links to better places. You just have to do a little research. You will definatly want atleast a 800 Mghz to a 1 gig processor or more, depending if money is an issue. Get lots of RAM, I would suggest 256 or more, but once again, if money is a issue 128 is just fine. You will want a nice video card. G-Force cards are nice. Depending on how nice of one you want ONCE AGAIN depends on the green stuff... Good luck..

If you don't want to build one, then I have had good luck out of Dell and Gateway.

There is absoultly nothing wrong with a Compaq!!!!! I have a TWO great Compaqs that are GREAT for gaming!
