I have a question for those having experience with the MSI 865PE NEO2-FIS2R board. My system consists of :
MSI 865PE NEO2-FIS2R
3.0Ghz P4
1Gb matched pair Kingston HyperX PC3200
SATA RAID 0 with 2xWD 36 Gb Raptor 10kRPM
ATI 8500 DV AIW

The only way to enable “PAT” on this board is to set the BIOS Memory setting to either “TURBO or ULTRA”. I have tweaked the **** out of this thing but I still get the best benchmarks with the DOC disabled, SDRAM timing for memory set to “enabled” (allowing system to determine memory timings) and TURBO…. HOWEVER, with it set to TURBO the **** thing runs fine for a day or two then hard crashes. Stepping it down to FAST or up to ULTRA prevents a boot up. Setting memory to DISABLED it runs great but at standard speed.

Last night it hard crashed (set in TURBO) but temps were very low, (CPU 38C) and refused to reboot…could not even get a beep. Cleared the CMOS and still no boot. I let it sit overnight and it booted fine in the morning.

I have noticed that when the memory is set to TURBO what it does is overclock the FSB to 811mhz and raises the CPU voltage by.5, the memory by .5(? ) and the AGP by .2. Anyone else note this?

Anyone have ANY ideas/suggestions why this thing will not stabilize with memory setting at TURBO?…or why it would not even boot up after a hard crash until 8 hrs later? It was NOT an over temp problem either?

Thanks
