Does any have one these? How do you like it? On paper, it looks like a great motherboard and I'm really considering buying it but I would like some actual end user information first.

Heh. About half of the AMD members here use it or the older versions of it. I hear that SATA setup is a pain, but that seems to be the only complaint.

Thanks Bill!

OK AMD people, don't tell me your machine is down and that's why you haven't replied!!! :D

I use the first run (Rev 1.04) board and it's been fantastic. I haven't tried SATA yet, so I can't vouch for it's ease or headaches. But, I've tried about a half dozen video cards, several hard drives, various optical drives, and additional NIC's and have yet to find a piece of hardware it won't run.It has just about everything you need already on the board except for video. Oh, and I haven't used the on-board sound yet since I've got an Audigy 2 that I use. But that's going into my AMD64 machine when I get it built, so then I'll start using the SoundStorm APU. It runs like a champ, overclocks very easily IMHO. I've got a AthyXP 2500 @ 2700 speeds with no problems. I've gotten as high as 2900+ speeds before with a combo FSB bump and multiplier shifting. It's a sturdy board with plenty of flexibility. I'd highly recommend it for anyone buying an AthlonXP motherboard. :D

I just got the Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe a few weeks ago and paired it with an AMD 2500+ (Barton). I've always liked Asus motherboards, so that's pretty much why I chose this one. At any rate, I've not had any problems with it yet. The only problem I've had so far is the issue with whether or not it has a sensor for the CPU diode temperature, which it doesn't seem to have. Other than that, I've had no problems.

I've not tried the RAID yet, so I can't speak on that subject.

I've built several systems using the Asus A7N8X Deluxe, also have a non-Dlx ver. 2.0. The Deluxe version is worth the extra cost for the Soundstorm audio alone. No complaints about the board: stable, fast, easy setup. Not one has failed...yet. Run it with PC 3200 memory and you'll have room to upgrade to a 400 MHz cpu.

I've kept mine, good baord, but the clock runs fifteen seconds fast an hour.

Got a lite version for a mate, had to rma it and get an epoc instead, sound chip would only give out stereo, no help from asus tech, replied showing how to use the mic and line in as speaker outputs.

but apart from that I'm happy with mine, use atomic clock and she's sweet.

Thanks everyone! I'm sold! Yes, Asus makes great boards but their support is a little rough.
