I've read some suggestions that the min/max disk cache size should be set at 4096/32768 and the swap size should be 128 (min and max).
My o/s is Win98 and I have 128 mb of ram.
Are these settings appropriate for me, are there better settings or should I just reset the defaults and let Win manage the ram?

You'll get lots of opinions on this subject!
Personally, I prefer to fix my swap - there's seems to be less fragmentation and disk thrashing. I have 256mgs, so my values would be meaningless to you.
If you haven't seen it yet, look at the Speed Demonz Page here http://epsilon.silicon.net.my/adrian/
It really comes down to experimenting and seeing what values work best for your system,
IMO.
