My wife is taking online classes and one requires that she attend chat sessions. When I try to join the chat (I have java installed) I get a weird error message inside the window. It's as follows:

HTTP Status 500 - No Context configured to process this request

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

type Status report

message No Context configured to process this request

description The server encountered an internal error (No Context configured to process this request) that prevented it from fulfilling this request.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Apache Tomcat/4.1.27

The teacher wasn't much help so if anyone has any ideas please let me know.

Thanks,

bpaz

Bill,

I don't get anything when I click that link. By the way...I'm able to get on the chat with my laptop (same OS (XP)) Something must be up with my desktop.

Thanks,

Bpaz

Well, it seemed like an unnecessary step to me before, but I have seen the light, Ms. fancy! :t

That link sounds pretty foreign to me. Decipher anyone? Like I said before, it must be my desktop because I can get into the chat on my laptop. Now, for some reason I can't even get to the web site for her classes. I can get to every other site i've tried but not that one. Could it be a simple setting on the desktop or program installed that's not on the laptop?

Thanks for the help,

bpaz

Thanks for the help,

bpaz the tiny url is just a web service to shorten long urls... nothing more; you can click it, it's fine :)

What OS are you running... to what I read it seems like a Linux (Apache?) error...

maybe someone here will know more about it...

I meant the actual document the link referred to. Sorry about that. I clicked on the first search response in the link and it was pretty confusing. I'm running XP on both machines which is why I'm pretty sure it might be a program I have installed or a setting in IE, Norton Internet Security or something.

What they are all saying is that it's a server problem - not you.

I guess that should sum it up in about one sentence :)

But why would I have the problem on one computer and not the other?

Because the server doesn't like you. :p

I would suggest writing the host/webmaster at this site and ask him.

It wouldn't be the first server that didn't like me. :p
