first off, heres my specs

abit ic7 max3
gig of corsair xms 3200
intel 2.8 800fsb
500w psu
geforce fx 5200 ultra
120 gb sata (seagate)
xp pro

im having problems getting the ram to run at its full potential. i have the caslat down to 2, precharge delay at 6, ras# to cas# delay at 3, and the ras# precharge also at 3. (with all game accelerator options on auto) when i change the game accelerator, i get unexpected closings and sometimes restarts. i tried increasing to voltage to 1.7 and also 1.8 but neither helped. i need this edge but i cant acheive it. can anyone help? im sure a gig of high quality corsair should easily be able to handle street racer and possibly f1, but stability is at 0. thanks

Control Panel > System > Advanced > Startup and Recovery. Untick "Automatically restart" and set memory dump to None.
Hopefully, you'll get a blue-screen error with a message next time.

Are you overclocking the CPU at all?

not yet, this is the first time building a computer for me and it seems to be going pretty well. i have a retail heatsink and fan so im a little hesitant with overclocking much for now. once i get a new heatsink i should be able to be consistant at 3 ghz and hopefully 3.2. i also suspect the temperature timings are off because when i power on my computer in the morning it says the starting temp is around 40 c, which is much higher than the temperature the room is. thanks for the help!

wait, why would a blue screen be good?

That way you might at least get some indication of why your system's restarting itself via the error message. One of the rare times a BSOD's welcome ;)
