I'm looking for the optimal timings on an A7N8X. I'm I right by thinking 2-2-2-5 with 2x Corsair PC3200 512MB w?dual- channel enabled? Thanks!

Bigjakkstaffa 01-12-2004, 12:33 PM 2-2-2-11 is the optimal for Nforce 2 chipsets, or so the research suggests --Jakk:t fishybawb 01-12-2004, 06:12 PM Originally posted by Bigjakkstaffa 2-2-2-11 is the optimal for Nforce 2 chipsets, or so the research suggests Thanks for that Jakk, I've been meaning to mess about with my timings for a while now and didn't really know what to try. My Crucial doesn't like CAS 2, so I've gone for 2.5,2,2,11 - I tried 2.5,2,2,12 and 2.5,2,2,10 after reading a thread at amdmb, but they both gave poorer Sandra bench results :t Bigjakkstaffa 01-12-2004, 06:39 PM Yeah My Crucial stuff seems dead against CL2 at anythign above 166Mhz no matter how much juice i gve it, which is off seeing as though ive seen the same stuff so CL2 at the FSB im currently running (170Mhz) --Jakk:t fishybawb 01-12-2004, 06:48 PM I guess it depends on individual sticks, I've got a mate whose system runs rock solid with his Crucial PC3200 at 6,2,2,2.0 and 2.8v - mine won't even POST at CAS 2.0 with 2.9v. Ah well :t SysOpt.com
