I refused to spend $100 to upgrade WIN98 First Ed to Second but finally put out $50 for Millenium upgrade.
Now I've heard that Me won't support DVD hardware card...is this true.
Also, I've heard people complain some of their old cards won't work with ME.
I want to upgrade my AMD K-6II mobo with expensive EDO ram for an Athlon MB with SDRAM, new case/SPS and transfer the old drive and not reinstall all the SW.
I'd like to use some old cards I'v come by like ATI All-in-Wonder PCI and Monster MX400.
Will these or others cause me problems with ME?
Does it make sense to uninstall the ME back to First Edition and fork over $20 for Second Ed.?
How will this affect my files?
I know there are several issues here and would appreciate help with any/all of them.
