Variables to consider:
----------------------
Lightweight (under 4 lbs)
DVD
Floppy
15" viewable
256 mb ram
at least 850 mhz
Under 1,250 bucks
Very vague, i know, but you get the general idea. What is the best notebook a person could buy?

TechJumper, Sorry to hear that. I have had the unfortunate opportunity to send my laptop to service twice now http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif (Screen problems, got a new screen out of it anyway http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif ) Both times I had it back within 10-14 days. Not all that bad compared with some other companies - so I've heard. Both times they paid for shipping both ways - next day air, and were curtious for the most part http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif
Good luck in your search, I know nothing about IBM or Omnibooks however http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif
