Hello everyone.I'm having problems with a cendyne ultra wide scsi cdrw. The OS (Win98se)doesn't recognize it,I'm using a techram 390F pci card.I've tried everything, updated drivers, used a dos prog from tekram that modifies the autoexec and config files, edited does files again...you get the point. If anyone could give me a hint it'll be apreciated, thanks

I am not clear on this -is it that Windows98 does not recognize your SCSI adapter or that although it sees your adapter the drive just doesn't show up?
What does your Windows device manager look like - are there any problems or unknown hardware listed?
All Windows should need is the correct driver for the adapter, then the cdrw drive should show up in Windows as long as the configuration is correct in the SCSI BIOS.

Windows does recognize the adapter i updated the driver. It now shows up in the device manager. But it stills doesn't recognizes the cdrw drive.Do you think I should edit the autoexec an config files again, I'm asking this because I ran the dos program before updating the driver. So the autoexec and config files where modified. If editing the files doesn't work, then what could it be??
