Hi Folks,

Pleae help me out with this as I am about to order the comps:

my choosen comps are:

ABit IC7, I did not go for the the G version as they are the same specs apart from MAX has LAN features which I dont need, I hope I am right !!
HDD: I am going for WD raptor SATA 36GB
P4 2.4C 800FSB
Corsair TwinX 1024Mb 4000ProSeries (2 x 512MB PC4000 Matched Pair DDR) with Activity LEDs.
Radeon 9500 Pro with 128MB

I am aiming to OC to >3.0GHz is this now possible? or am I just wasting my hard earning cash !!
I am aware that I need to get a water cooler, so here is my choice:
Thermaltake Aquarius II Water Cooler, Is this sufficient to keep the CPU happy or Is there another choice?


Please help me sort this out

Dont really think you will need water cooling...I think you will get to or near 3Ghz on air with a good cooler.

im not really sure how much youll OC but from what i read youll get pretty close to 3.0 or more.... go to www.newegg.com and read reviews on your MB.... they will tell you alot about it and maybe give you an idea how much you can OC...

oh yeh... where are you gettin you RAM at?

That TT aquarius is not too great. The reviews dont praise it too well. Its cheap for a reason. P4's run really cool, air cooling will be more than enough for you.
