Hello
could you help me please to understand this subject because I have an exam
on 16th of January
One of the goals of an operating system is to optimize performance by
making efficient use of the CPU time and memory space. Describe the
different ways in which the operating system can help achieve this goal.
Diagrams and a bibliography may occupy additional space.
Thanks

If you have an exam on it, doesn't that mean that you should have learned it?
BTW, this is definetely in the wrong section.

The operating system defines our computing experience. It's the first software we see when we turn on the computer, and the last software we see when the computer is turned off. It's the software that enables all the programs we use. The operating system organizes and controls the hardware on our desks and in our hands, yet most users can't say with any certainty precisely what it is that the operating system does
