Hello all...

I dont know if this is the right place to ask and I apologize if its not. I have the Simpsons Hit & Run PC game. It requires the CD be in the drive. This is a pain as my laptop only has an external CD drive.

I tried the noCD crack from MegaGames and it still asks for the CD, but doesnt run even when its inserted! I also tried 2 virtual CD image pgms ( Alcohol120% and VirtualCD v5 ) and both make a new CD drive image, but clicking 'Run Game' just makes the window disappear - no game, no new tasks, nothing runs.

Are there any better image pgms, or no-CD cracks out there?

Any help or pointers would be appreciated.

Thanks...

Get hold of Daemon tools, this will allow you to make a complete copy of the CD to HDD in an image file, this image can then be mounted on a virtual CD Drive created by Daemon

there is also www.gamecopyworld.com which has no-cd cracks. Generally speaking cracks are more specific than you think, best to try various different ones.

Thanks for the GameCopyWorld link! Only 1 of the 3 cracks worked, but thats all it takes. :)

BTW I tried the Daemon tools Virtual CD first, and while it looks like an awesome tool, the game wouldnt run from this vCD. I used Alcohol120% to create an MDS image and use Securom emulation. Maybe theres some other combination that would work, but this didnt.

Thanks again.
