is this tower good ?

2 day ago my power supply gone BOOM in my face it exploded with a lot of noise and a lot of smoke so i decided to buy a complete new tower

i buyed the antec performance series sx1030b-soho file server (wow what a nice black tower ) the deseing is awwsum http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif i luvv it.

the only thing that bother me is the lack of a power button on my power supply ( u know when ur computer hang when shuting down with a stupid ati tvtuner software running http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif )
and there is nothing else to do the shut the comp off with power supp

so in that case what can i do ? unplug the power supp cable ?

I believe u can use the keyswitch to turn it off.. But don't quote me..

Don't believe the key switch has anything to do with the power line, but I can check...I have the same case waiting to get the stuff installed. But, yes...either pull the power cable, or get a power console (very much recommended for lightning spike protection) and hit the master switch.

Whenever your system hangs, you don't have to use the power button on the back. Simply hold down your front power button for 5 seconds. Your screen should black out at about 3, and then at 4 the power button will blink, 5 it will shut off.


99% of PSU's do this, though.

Power Supply? Maybe I'm an idiot but isn't that part of ACPI on the motherboard?
