Wow. HL2 looks stellar. I wish The Nameless Mod (http://www.planetdeusex.com/tnm) ™ looked as nice.

I'll definately be upgrading to a monster rig to play HL2. Anyone care to refresh my memory on the required SPECS?

Not sure of processor specs but i wouldnt liek to take it on with anything less than ti4200 and it looks like even FX users will be forced at default to use DX8 features for performance reasons. I dunno how well the Radeon 8500 will cope with it, but i would say anyone with an Ati Radeon 9500 Pro or upover should be in for a smooth ride.

would an AIW 9600 Pro be above or below the power of a 9500 pro ?

Pretty similar...but the 9500pro has the edge. Thats why they stopped making them so soon...two much performance for the price they were selling them at! I think now that the 9600XT is out this would probably match the power at least of the 9500pro...however never seen any benchmarks comparing them.

I hope it is coded a helluva lot better than Deus Ex:IW as it looks like it is using a ton more shaders that is for bloody sure and DE:IW isn't the smoothest running game on any platform.
