Hey,

I can get Windows 2000 for free (LEGALLY) from my sister. I already have Windows XP Pro. Is it worth formatting a repartitioning just for Windows 2000? I have no gripes with Windows XP, but I was going to format anyway because I'm installing another beta OS.

So... Windows 2000 worth getting?

Thanxs

It's always a good idea to have an alternate OS in case of disaster, but that's the only real reason to do this.

Just be certain to install Win2K first.

Alright, I might try it. If I can get my other 40 gig hdd, then I will defiantly get it. :t

The more OS's you can boot, the better.

If nothing else it can't hurt to set up on a dummy machine or a vm-ware image and experiment with.

And Windows 2000 has Microsoft support up to 2007 and doesn't require reactivation if you do a clean installation or change the motherboard, etc.
