W2k problem

I formatted my computer and reinstalled W2k. I also installed SP4 and all the other drivers (video, sound, usb, chipset, etc). When I turn on my computer, after a couple of seconds I see the mouse pointer and I can move it around, but the desktop itself doesn't show. I press Ctrl+Alt+Delete to bring up Task Manager and then I hit cancel. After that, my desktop loads up normally. What is wrong?

Try booting into safe mode once, then reboot and see if it cleared up.

Be patient while it reloads the desktop icons.
