BipolarBill 01-03-2004, 03:11 AM So what's the problem? It's a standard setup - 9 pins mirrored with one extra (unneeded by the way). The pins are: VCC/+5V Data + Data - GND There are two banks - bank 1 and bank 2. Match sides and that's about it. Here's reference: http://www.usbman.com/Guides/BelkinMotherboard_cable_assembly.htm Rat 01-03-2004, 06:27 PM Take it from Bill...... don't let this (http://www.sysopt.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=136720) happen to you. Rat Imperion1 01-03-2004, 08:37 PM Read your manual. It will tell you which pin is for what. Then look at the USB plugs. If they're individual plugs then they'll tell you what each plug is. If its 1 solid piece, then there should be a filled plug. This is to prevent you from connecting the usb incorrectly. And if I remember correctly, you can't use a USB 1.1 panel on USB 2 pins. Well, you can if you move the female pin connectors to the correct location in the solid plug. Tried and tested on my system. naem 01-06-2004, 03:16 AM Thank you guys But the problem is that the wires are not contained as one plug they are seperated wires and not colored (all black) since I am an Electrical Engineer I dont want any diode or transistor to be damaged that may damage the MOBO Any solutions? BipolarBill 01-06-2004, 12:02 PM There has got to be some sort of markings on these wires or the harness. Please describe the harness. As an electrical engineer, you must know that you cannot test a wire with a multimeter unless it's connected to something. Rat 01-06-2004, 06:02 PM What case do you have, is the panel a part of this case? Rat SysOpt.com
