I've tried everything and can't seem to set up my network on redhat linux 6.2. I'm tryin to use it as a basic web/ftp server, but it's like it's not even connected to my home network. The card is a realtek 8139 using the rtl8139 module and set to use DHCP (same as all other computers on my network). When I check the Network Configuration it says that eth0 is activated but when i do "ifconfig -a" it doesnt show hardly anything for my eth0 connection. The weird thing is that the exact same system works fine under redhat 7.3. Any linux gurus out there? Thanks for the help.

Yes, upgrade to Red Hat 9.0 and save yourself the headaches.

Then spend $100 and upgrade to a Pentium 200 MHz system with 64 MB RAM from a computer show or try Red Hat 7.0 which was much better then 6.2
