Beat both a while ago (no cheats) and I'm now playing through it a second time. I beat Serious Sam I (Xbox) with 31 lives to spare and in record time (for me) of about 2 1/2 hours. Great games, some of the best FPS action out there in my opinion. . .

Completed the first one, cracking good fun. Not played the second one yet. Network co-op mode is a hoot, especially after a few drinkies :x

Fun game. Plays kind of like Doom but has cool 3D graphics to it. Kicked it's ***. Doom is much harder then this game. :t

Serious Sam #2 is lonnnnnggggggggg but very good. Definite graphic eye candy and smart remarks from Sam make it a hoot to play.

me and my cousin beat the original co-op on the same PC split screen! It was awesome we both used our Logitech Rumble pads, mine actually fell apart at the end :p

They are some of my favorites.. beat them both. Some times its better to run into the middle of the badies and set off a Serious bomb.
I found some (German?) sites that seem to indicate a Serious Sam 3 is in the works but theres nothing on Engilish language sites. Does any one know anything about this?
Enjoy!

Yeah Seriosu Sam 2 is the next one, The first Seriosu sam was a two part budget release due to the relatively small size of cro-team and market uncertainty regarding old-skool FPS's, hence the relatively low price of both releases when they were new

I loved Serious Sam: TFE.
My basic review of it is summed up thus: "pure shoot-em-up fun". SS isn't the type where you need much more mental investment than your medula oblongada provides. Just blow away anything that moves and marvel at how gorgeous they made everything. I've always stated this -- that Serious Engine® is one powerful game engine. It loves raw power in terms of both GPU and CPU. Croteam's thought about performance is 'it's really up to the hardware vendors'. As far as I'm concerned that's perfectly fine. Besides being a kick *** game SS allows some nice benchmarking features. That's really nice when you want to tangably measure the impact of using all the eye candy.
I only played a little of the SS:TSE demo. From what I saw I give it about 80 thumbs & toes up. Gratz to the previously unknown developer from Eastern Europe.

I thought serious sam was absolute crud. Sure the gfx look kind of nice but the game itself just seemed like a revamped version of Space Invaders to me with wave after wave of nasties with no AI and no point.
I played through both 1 and 2 (I was given them) but I never really got into the game or really liked them at all, it was just something to do on a wet weekend while my broadband was down and I had no grass to watch grow nor paint to dry.

The above gameplay description smacks of Halo to me, yet the gaming press seem to love that POS.
While i will agree SS does follow a fairly reptetive and 'no brainer' gameplay structure, it manages to keep things lively with the sheer ridiculous odds, ever changing (not to mention lavish) settings and sheer humor of it all. In contrast Halo just does the same thing over and over and over until you feel like gouging your own eyeballs out with ice-cream scoops. So while i agree it is true to say that SS offers nothing massively new to the world of the FPS at least it pulls of what it does do in an entertaining and engaging manner.

I've never played Serious Sam, but heard from you guys great reviews and was wondering about how much money it is for both. I'm a little short of change and was hoping that it would be at least under $20 bucks for one of the two, and if so which one was better. I would pay like 5 bucks for the better one but not to much after that.
