Hey all,

I recently put together some components around the house for my father. I am running a PII 400MHz with WinXP. It has an ethernet card, (that's actually going unused), and a 3Com HomeConnect PCI card. Previously, this card was working fine in XP on an old 350MHz. I put it into this slightly better one and formatted its drives.

Now, in Device Manager, there's a yellow exclamation point on the device, which is recognized, and I get the message:
This device cannot start [Code 10]

Now, because I can't set up the network, I can't access the interet with this PC. Any suggestions on what to do?

THanks!:D

Windows did not install the card drivers properly. Reinstall the drivers.

sounds like you might have a resource conflict. remove the nic, since you're not using it. also try a putting the homeconnect card in a different slot.
