Yeah, it will help alot. Also put the slave drive on there also. The will speed up Harddrive performance which in turns speeds up the whole computer

ATI Radeon HP 9100i Lite-On 16x DVD Linksys nic Firewire PCI adapter card I've got the two hard drives on my primary IDE channel, and the DVD and the CDRW on the secondary IDE. This works fine...BUT...I've been told I can use a SIIG Ultra ATA/66 PCI controller card to hook up the DVD on its own cable and "greatly" improve CD copying on the fly. I've got the card laying around and open PCI slots...What do you think? I have a similar configuration, but simpler: PIII Coppermine 800EB 512MB PC133 30GB Maxtor HD 16X DVD-ROM PlexWriter 8/4/32A SoundBlaster Live! Value nVIDIA GeForce 256 w/ 32MB (Around 200FPS in T2) cadetstimpy 08-30-2001, 08:21 PM I would add a ATA100 RAID contoller and strip the Hard Drives as RAID 0. (almost cuts the average access seek time in half) SysOpt.com
