My newest QT-Pie g/f needs a basic word program to do invoices.

She prefers ready-made templates to fabricating them in a spreadsheet.

Will someone check these links and comment on what I'm gonna get for a whopping sum of $40 ?

This suite includes Word 97->>

This one has Word 2000->>

I hope the previous one is MS..

I also have Corel 8 Buisness Suite, Corel Word Perfect 2000, Quicken SE, and some Lotus business software junk http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

At this point, she has a very limited need, so no use in going whole-hog and spending a weeks pay.. $40.00 goes a long way in the south http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Doc --

With the Word 2000, you only get the newer version of Word. With the Works Suite 99 (this is the one I have), you get additional software that may or may not come in handy.

What about Star Office? A big download, but it's worth it if you want an Office-like suite of tools to do word processing, spreadsheets, etc.

Well, this is one where I think ebay would come to play... I know when I broke down and bought office 97,, I did it just before 2k came out. BUT my reason, price. All the retailers had 97 slashed to about just under a hundred. I got the disk at ebay for about 30 bucks.. I was very happy with the route. hmmm I was in the South then too. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif
What am I babbling about this time? What ever you decide it may behoove you to ck that product on ebay.. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/biggrin.gif

AH HA! new squeeze! That's were ya been! sniff, sniff, and we've been tossed aside,, no matter we will be here in the future too http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif

I recently started using the previous version of this program which I found in the clearance bin at staples for $9.99
