Not what the "official" requirements are, but what you gamer guys out there would recommend :t
Well... if you play "BF1942, Raven Shield and MOH" just fine, then CoD should play just fine as well.

Agreed!!
:D
My PC can handle Call of Duty but the game will lag when there are a lot of characters moving around.

The lag is more to do with the server it is running from and your internet link, not necessarily your PC - at least that is the way I see it!

How much memory do you have?

The game runs fine on my XP 1800+ (non oc, yet)
with 256M of PC2100 ram and an ATI Radeon 7500.
Would be nicer to have a Radeon 9600 Pro or better
though... getting weird graphic anomalies,etc.

Even more fun in multiplayer mode - just select the lowest ping server and you shouldn't get any lag.

PLenty of low ping servers around.. I play on 40 or less all the time and have never had a lag problem!!

Yep, likewise normally play upto 40 without problems
I've experienced lag twice and seen it once but I think that's when it becomes dependant on how good the server, your connection and amount of allowable players are online.

1 Gig processor, decent 64 Meg video card, and 512 Meg of ram and you should be able to run it smooth. Although, not with all the eye candy. But like everybody else said, if you play the games you mentioned you should be fine.
Thanks for the replies. Seems all I need is a good video card :)

2.8 ghz P4
800 mhz FSB
120 GB 7200RPM HD
512 MB PC3200 DDR memory

depends on your video card - I had to replace mine for COD even tho BF1942 ran fine

same thing happened to me - I can play BF with my SIS-315 64 meg video card - DOA when I tired Call of Duty....
I think it was a problem with my video card not being dx9 compatible?

I've ran it on several machines, the weakest one being a 1900+ with a Radeon 7500 and 512 RAM and it ran just fine at 1024x768 with medium-high details.
On my 2500+@3200+ with 9800 Pro, it runs fine at 1600x1200 with the highest settings and 4xAA/AF.
Its not too demanding of a game.
