Depends on what you need. The K60 has a nice mix for a lower price. It has the same print as any of the HP printers (anything from the $130 932 up to the $300 P1215 all have the exact same print quality).

daveleu: isn't he talking about those all-in-one printer/scanner/copier/faxing machines?

Although most advanced users don't like Lexmark (I have one, and for 50 dollars for 12PPM Black, 8PPM Color, it barely uses ink, and is as quiet as, well... it's definantely worth it), I reccommend their all-in-one machines

The K60 doesn't skimp on print quality is what I was driving at. It does it all while still printing top quality prints. HP replaces the print head every time you replace a cartridge and their cartridgesa re easier to find and less expensive than others, not to mention more reliable. You are not the first to mention Lexmark to me, so I guess I should rethink them. I have had nothing but problems in my eperience with them, but haev never used their All-in-ones. HP is the most durable printer. They are not head and shoulders above when it comes to MF printers, though.

Watch out for HP OfficeJet K and G series printers when using Windows 2000. Only load the drivers after service pack 2 is installed for Win2k. The Office Jet K and G series printers were the first DOT4 printers ont he market. Microsoft provided a bad dot4.sys file which HP based their driver on. Even though HP had problems getting the Win2k driver to work they released it anyways. Once the DOT4.sys problem file was found it was fixed in Service Pack 2.
