Alcohol 120% is nice because it'll let you create virtual drives and mount iso images in them.

I use a free version of Roxio. Most will tell you Nero. I didn't prefer it over Roxio. I do use Alcohol 120% once in a while to back up games.

The thing to watch with Alcohol 120% is developers blacklisting it to prevent their apps working on machines with it installed (*cough* Ubisoft *cough*) and the fact it doesnt yet have support for the new version of Safedisc as found in the likes of CoD, also its Image based system is a bit of a nuisnace at times when Nero will just let you jump in and do what you want. That said at other times its a godsend, e.g. when having to use the Virtual CD option to get around silly CD Protection and Drive incompatibility issues

I'm currently using Nero 6.3.0.0 and Elby CloneCD, although Elby just discontinued that product so I don't know what I'm going to use now.

seems like nero is the most popular here

I think to be able to back your music, DVD, and programs you need more than one app

Me of little funds, will most likely get alcohol 120% maybe nero later on

Since this thread resurfaced i guess ill jump on.

Mostly Roxio 5, some Nero 5.5.

Just started using Pinnacle Instant CD/DVD 8 because it came bundled with my DVD burner drive. Havent really formed an opinion yet.
