I need someone to inform me how to set my hard drive to ata 100. I remember there is a box to check to enable it but I forgot where it is at. Major brain farts going on today.

Are you talking about DMA? If your HDD supports ATA 100, and your mobo does, it should automatically be set to transfer at that rate. There is a DMA checkbos in the device manager under your disk drive.

YES HELLO M8 WHAT U WANT TO DO IS GO RIGHT CLICK MY COMPUTER GO TO DIVICE MANAGER CLICK ON UR HARD DRIVE AND GO TO SETTINGS CLICK ON DMA IT SHOULD MAKE U 20% FASTER

you know what. they say 100MB/sec for ATA/100 bit i think its 100MegaBits a sec. either way it stil takes about 30 seconds to tranfer 300MB of data to anohter drive (that is on its own cable and ATA/100 and the source drive is ATA/100 as well) thats 10MB a sec (right?) whats up with this?
stil faster than my old ATA/33 drives tho.
