Hi,
I am not sure how to describe this problem. Recently my system while online started dumping everything to the hard drive. I use Netscape, and the cursor will disappear or freeze (it just did it while typing disappear), that is followed by the hard drive making those noises that indicates its swapping or writing to hard drive. It just did it again. When this started it seemed it would happen every so often maybe once every 10 min. Now it happens very often.
My system didn't do this before. I have 256megs of ram. My swap file is fixed at 512MB. This setting has always worked before.
Possible causes:
1. Cruising the net a system setting or browser setting for swapping got changed, by some program.
2. Possible virus
3. I installed new Nvidia GPS2 Pro 64 meg, everything worked fine the first week, faster screen loads, everything faster. Then this past week, this problem. I don't believe the video card is the problem, but.
Can some wiz give me some things to check.
Thanks
