Hello there guys

I'm having a little trouble with Windows 2000 SP3. I changed the users restrictions from user to restricted user of my profile, and then after I rebooted the system all my files in the desktop and my documents folder disapeared.

I made a search in the hard drive, but I can't find them, can someone tell me how can I recover my files

Boot into safe mode and look under "Documents And Settings":t

Log on as administrator and change the permissions back to user.

jmhc, don't know if it will help but you might want to download SP4. http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000/downloads/servicepacks/sp4/default.asp

Can somebody explain to me why my files disapeared after I changed the users account type???
