Via ntcompatible

As for Java VMM for IE 5.5SP2 and IE6, there is good news on the horizon:

I have build 2501 of IE6, and it appears to be bug-free http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

I'm not talking about bug's.

I'm talking about IE5.5 SP2 and WinXP IE6. Neither of those have Java support built in.

For example, if I make a post reply, the page that says thanks for you post...yadda yadda yadda click here if your browser does not forward you... just sits there, I have to click it to go to the post. That is a java app not supported in Win XP.

BBA,

You are correct. Microsuck has decided that java support will not make them any money, therefore they think if they ignore, it will go away.

I'm still hoping microsuck goes away...

BBA, I meant the QT bug, not all the other bugs it has http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif
And it must be happening only with WinXP, everything works fine for me in Win98SE (including your problematic page).

BTW, I'm downloading right now b2530 of IE6 for Win9x platform (have for 2000/XP too), it promised to be the final one, wanna link - mail me.

Best Regards ...

The QT 'bug' is not a bug either. The QT plugin was based on Netscape plugin code, and it worked with MS so it became standard.

MS has decided to NOT include any plugins that use Netscape code ( basically because Netscape started sueing, MS doesn't care to offer any use of their code ), which is why Quicktime stopped working for so many people.

The new plugin is not based on the netscape source code, so it can be installed and it works just fine.

What is weird, I went to the sun java site and downloaded the latest coffee environment ( http://www.sysopt.com/forum/biggrin.gif ).

The reason why is some sites ( like this one ) will not forward me to a post I just made ( where it says 'if you browser does not autmoatically...blah blah...click this link...blah' ).

The funny thing is a lot of sites do work...they are sites that use Java scripts not unlike Sysopt's ...so is it a Java problem on my end or something missing in the UBB pages java code?

Site in example that works: www.2cpu.com (http://www.2cpu.com) and www.ntcompatible.com (http://www.ntcompatible.com)
