Monitor settings, can't find explanations

Hi can someone tell me what the following mean and do

Its under CLAMP setting on my monitors OSD

SEP

and

SOG

not having much luck on google finding explanation.

Also why would one change the video level from 0.7v to 1.0v

SEP not sure
SOG - sync on green, used by older workstation monitors and graphic cards to synchronise the picture VSync signal frequency

Changing the level is also part of the same thing as some older monitors depended on a higher ttl level to synchronise the signal.

The idea of modern monitors keeping this is for compatability.

I'm sure someone else out there will have experience of this and can confirm?
