Need help,
I was setting up a new printer on the parents computer and found that the computer only has the parallel port,no usb ports. The printer has a usb connector(HP printer, scanner and fax).Does anyone know where I can get an adaptor for this?I have been searching the Best But and CompUSA web pages but nothing looks like it will work.

Such a beast doesn't exist.

If you have an extra PCI slot, just get a USB card. They're widely available and cheap.

You may also have a USB header on your mobo. In that case, you can buy USB sockets for your computer. Some can be mounted in an unused 5.25" drive bay. Others mount in the back, where your cards are located.

"Such a beast doesn't exist."

This is not entirely correct. A company called Infowave makes them for the MAC Platform.
