Heg gang! I need the name of an app. (preferably free) that will allow me to rip 5 seconds of an mp3 and convert and save it as a .wav to set as my Windows startup .wav. Thanks, steve

another good one is.... Winamp...

you probably already have it too. I don't know if it will let you do just 5 seconds, but you can edit it down later, just look in the winamp properties on output. Use output to disk or something like that
