Hello
I'm going to burn a DivX and a auto start to a CD-R. It says put the auto start in the root directory. What is the "root directory"?Thanks, <IMG SRC="http://images.fotki.com/photos/1/14285/24684/cwm231-vi.gif?998418293" border=0>Pack'nHeat

Root is the top level in a hierarchical filing system. For example, the root of drive C would be C:, not C:\win98... Root is the first level...

It comes from the God of Computer OSes, UNIX/Linux.

root is a user that controls everything, and the root directory is /

think of it as the bottom of a tree... the starting point for growth
